This time on the Horror Movie Syllabus we’re looking at horrific representations of dysfunctional families. While family dysfunction pops up a lot in modern horror films, in these three movies the dysfunctional family takes center stage and drives the plot in a way that, according to Professor Victor, warrants its own sub-genre. In addition to these movies, we’ll also discuss some "extra credit" films that feature good representations of dysfunctional families.
